The SLTN Executive Committee is a group of 8-10 trainees representing around 3,500 junior doctors across 82 specialities in the South London deanery.

We work closely with and have the support of the postgraduate dean to:

As part of our Inspiring Excellence Conference, we were delighted to run a Poster Competition for Doctors in Training.

We had 22 Posters on display, falling into three categories:

Quality Improvement

Education and Training

Doctor's Wellbeing.

Our winning entries were:

QI: Improving Operation Notes: Educational Interventions and Proformas to Support Compliance with National Guidance.

The COSL board meetings are held every second month, where the Directors of Medical Education and other stakeholders in our training meet to discuss issues relevant to post graduate education and medical training. The London Academy of Anaesthesia Trainee Rep Group held it's annual Trainees Day on April 7th, entitled "Things Can Only Get Better." A number of engaging speakers presented on clinical and non-clinical innovations in Anaesthesia and the wider NHS.  

A new initiative was launched at this years event, to award Prizes of Recognition to the best Anaesthetic Trainers in each of the five London Schools of Anaesthesia as nominated by their own trainees.
